MTS India
has launched two budget Android smartphones called MTS mTag 3.1 and MTS
Livewire. The two smartphones, priced in the sub Rs.5,000 category,
run on Android 2.2 Froyo
operating system and feature Qualcomm's S1 Snapdragon processors.
According to reports, the MTS mTag 3.1 is manufactured by Huawei, while
MTS Livewire is made by ZTE.
The
MTS mTag 3.1 comes with a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen and a 3.2 MP
rear camera. The MTS Livewire packs with similar set of features except
that it has a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen. Both the phones offer
direct access to apps such as Google, YouTube,
Google Maps and Google Talk. Another notable feature of the two
smartphones is Voice Search, which enables users to explore anything
without requiring to type.
The MTS mTag and MTS Livewire comes with
several MTS services such as free SMSs, free talktime and free data
usages. Both these handsets comes with Live TV and on-demand video
playback service as well.
The MTS mTag and MTS Livewire are
scheduled to be launched in the month of September. The final pricing of
the handsets of the smartphones has not been yet disclosed.
